PEBB benefits provides all regular full-time employees with a $35,000 life insurance policy and a $5,000 accidental death and dismemberment policy at no cost to the employee through MetLife Insurance.

Supplemental Life Insurance

In addition, employees are offered the opportunity to purchase supplemental term life insurance through MetLife. It can be purchased in $10,000 increments from $10,000 to $1,000,000 and may be purchased as an employee only or a family plan. All supplemental life insurance policies will be billed directly by MetLife for the employee to set up monthly payment. There is no specific open enrollment period for supplemental life insurance. Long-Term Disability Insurance

The PEBB Program provides long-term disability insurance to eligible members through The Standard Insurance Company. 

Basic LTD Insurance is provided to you as part of your medical benefits package at no cost to you.

Supplemental LTD Insurance is available to purchase.

Note: Short Term Disability payments will be reduced by the amount of any benefit for loss of income from any state disability program from which benefits are received or for which you are eligible to receive. This refers to the WA State Paid Family Medical Leave (PFML) program.
