3/10/2023 - Bresemann Forest will be closed to the public as crews remove trees that impact trail safety. The temporary closure is from March 13 until March 26. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

As a reminder, the Sprinker Recreation Center outdoor improvement project is currently underway. Overview

This naturally wooded site is approximately 70 acres with a system of pedestrian nature trails within the Parkland/Spanaway area. The beautiful and secluded walking trail may have users thinking they are miles from the city as they stroll along Morey Creek. Spanaway Creek is  a small stream the also runs through Breesemann Forest from Spanaway Lake and is part of the Clover Creek watershed.

Gate Hours:

  • November-March gates are open from 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. unless otherwise posted.
  • April-October gates are open from 7:00 a.m.- 8:00 p.m. unless otherwise posted.

Enter the forest through a wrought iron gate on the west side of the Sprinker Recreation Center parking lot near Spire Rock

We do our best to ensure that gates are opened and closed promptly at these times but please be patient as our staff may run into maintenance issues that could delay gate openings. Also, please be advised that periods of adverse weather or vandalism may result in last minute closures of the forest.
