Ending Homelessness in Pierce County
Homelessness is a regional issue that affects all of us. That’s why it’s going to take a regional approach to find solutions, and why we’re working at the county level with community partners to find ways to address the needs of our population that are without a sheltered place to sleep at night.
At the direction of Council, and lead by the county’s Department of Human Services, work is underway to craft the 2021 Comprehensive Plan to End Homelessness. Dedicated service providers, community members and people with lived experience comprise two groups tasked with collaborating to develop this comprehensive plan and a shelter plan to identify ways we can help.
Visit this website to learn more information about the work groups and their meeting dates and times. This website has more information about homelessness numbers in Pierce County, where current shelters exist in our community and additional details about the survey.
