Robyn Denson is the mother of two teenagers, a small business owner and former host of HarborChat on KGHP-FM. Before being elected to represent the 7th District on the Pierce County Council, Robyn was honored to serve as a Gig Harbor City Council member. Prior to that, she served four terms on the City Parks Commission. Robyn has a heart for community and public service. She is currently the President of the Board for Communities in Schools of Peninsula and serves on the Boards of the Gig Harbor Downtown Waterfront Alliance and Gig Harbor Land Conservation Fund. She also serves on the Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Committee, the Gig Harbor Veterans Day Committee, Gig Harbor for Racial Justice and the Gig Harbor Key Peninsula Housing & Homeless Coalition. Robyn is a member of the Key Peninsula Business Association and helped found “KP Kids”, a round-table gathering of organizations serving kids and families on the Key Peninsula. Robyn loves the great outdoors and has a passion for conserving land for generations to enjoy far into the future. She was a founding Board member of Harbor Wildwatch, is a past member of the Pierce County Conservation Futures Advisory Board and she’s excited to be conserving critical habitat and open space for everyone to enjoy through the Gig Harbor Land Conservation Fund. Professionally, Robyn has been a small business owner and has worked for over 20 years for non-profit organizations (including Community Action Agencies and Habitat for Humanity) partnering with individuals, children and families on their journeys to self-sufficiency and the achievement of healthy and productive lives. Robyn also served as a non-partisan policy analyst for the State House of Representatives Office of Program Research for 5 legislative terms, specializing in Housing Policy. |
