Welcome to the Pierce County Parks Specialized Recreation- Adventure with in Reach. We are so excited to offer a variety of programs for participants of all ages and abilities in Pierce County.
Our programs are offered virtually, in-person, or as a combination of both, based on the Governor’s Safe Start reopening guidelines. We continue to work hard during this challenging time to create programming that will engage, inspire, and connect our participants with each other, and the community as a whole, in the safest way possible.
Partners have consolidated efforts to serve residents across the county through one registration process and one pool of qualified staff to build trust and provide consistency. Jurisdictions provide program locations and outreach to local residents, and the Adventure in Reach staff deliver the specialized services. The goal is to host activities across the county, at facilities made available by partners, so participants can recreate in their home community without excessive travel. The vast array of combined programming once offered by separate partners will resume as Healthy Washington guidance allows. Stay tuned as more partners are slated to join the program in 2022!
