Tacoma Narrows Airport (TIW)

About the Airport

Our mission is to provide proactive, customer-focused service with integrity, reliability and timeliness.

The Tacoma Narrows Airport (TIW) is a public 568-acre general aviation facility. TIW is located four miles west of Tacoma and one mile southwest of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. Pierce County purchased the airport from the City of Tacoma in 2008. Used primarily for business jet travel and general aviation, it features an FAA contract tower and a variety of businesses, including fixed base operators, a restaurant—The Hub at Gig Harbor—and companies that offer flight instruction, scenic flights, maintenance and more.

Tacoma Narrows Airport Master Plan

The goal of the TIW Master Plan is to provide a strategic framework for airport improvements that will create opportunities for economic development and capitalize on current airport infrastructure assets. Learn more about the project.
