Health Care Services

Health care in the jail is provided by NaphCare Inc. This includes a variety of medical, dental and pharmacy services to inmates.

Upon arrival, all inmates are screened to determine medical appropriateness for housing in the facility. Health services also provide for both emergent and non-emergent medical needs of the inmate via local emergency rooms and daily sick call Monday through Friday respectively. There are medical staff on-site 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.

Challenges & Contributions

The Health Care Services clinic manages a variety of challenges in trying to meet the needs of this under-served population. Corrections Health's contribution to the general welfare of the public goes virtually unnoticed, as many of the clients who frequent the jail, especially the mentally ill, have no resources for health care on the outside.
