Long Term Support Options Counseling
The ADRC helps people make informed decisions. We help Pierce County residents and their families understand how their strengths, needs, preferences, and unique situations translate into possible strategies and plans based on the options available in the community. We also serve the needs of family caregivers caring for a loved one locally or long distance.
Benefits Counseling
Our information and assistance service is designed to help people learn about and, if desired, apply for public and private benefits to which they are entitled. We can also help people navigate the various application processes and save time.
Employment Options Counseling
The ADRC assists people who are interested in, or may be interested in, pursuing their options for employment. We coordinate with other sources that provide employment counseling. Our goal is to ensure access to appropriate employment options.
Referral to Other Programs
The ADRC refers individuals to other programs and benefits to help them remain in their community. These are programs specific to Pierce County as well as state and federal programs.
Crisis Intervention
The ADRC can help individuals respond to situations of immediate jeopardy to their health or welfare. We can direct people to effective local resources with the primary goal of protecting a person's safety.
Planning for the Future
The ADRC helps people plan for their future long term support needs. We help individuals identify their needs and wants and balance them with available personal and community resources.
