Emergency Management Training



Training is offered for First Responders and also for community members and other partners across the county.
Topics include:
  • managing incidents
  • working in shelters
  • building plans for high risk populations

Use the 2014 NIMS Fact Sheet to determine what required training may be needed for your organization to be compliant with the National Incident Management System.

Each year HLS Region 5 works with other jurisdictions in Washington to develop a three-year training and exercise plan. Pierce County plans are on pages 38, 50, and 57 of the State of Washington Training & Exercise Plan 2019-2021.
