Pierce County residents can take garbage, recycling, and yard waste to six transfer stations and drop boxes throughout the county. Commercial customers may only use the Hidden Valley Transfer Station, Purdy Transfer Station, and Tacoma Recovery and Transfer Center.
All transfer stations and drop boxes offer
residential garbage disposal
residential yard waste disposal
mixed recycling (paper, cardboard, metal cans, and plastic bottles, tubs, and jugs)
Facilities are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Days
