Eco Explorers Adventure Camps

2021 Winter Family Eco Camp

Bring the whole family along for a Winter wonderland experience! We’ll begin inside with a story to ready our minds for an outdoor scavenger hunt where we’ll discover bugs, worms, and other natural wonders. Then, we’ll head back inside to create nature-inspired art to take home. A worm composting bin filled with live worms and insects, books, and resources will also be available to explore and further our learning! 


  • Each participating family will receive one reusable canvas tote. 
  • Dress for outdoor winter weather.

2021 Eco Explorer Adventure Summer Camp

Eco Campers need to be ready for a week of action-packed outdoor adventures as they explore the natural environments of Pierce County parks. Each day will incorporate hands-on activities, exploration, free-play, and outdoor games. Each park's ecosystems will be discovered and investigated through sensory activities and the use of science equipment to help nurture a desire of caring and respect for our natural and human-made environments.


Participants will need to come with water bottles, lunch, snacks, backpack, change of clothes, jacket, sun protections, and dress according to weather conditions. Packing a waste-free lunch is highly encouraged.
