What's Happening

Engineering: We have completed the field survey of the corridor, vertical alignment design, storm drainage treatment and conveyance design, and updated the project cost estimate.

About the Project

Planned improvements to 94th Avenue East from approximately 850 feet south of 144th Street East to 300 feet south of 136th Street East (CRP 5533) are intended to increase capacity and relieve traffic congestion, and include the following:

  • Expanding to five lanes with a two-way left-turn lane.
  • Adding concrete curbs, gutters and sidewalks.
  • Adding street lighting.
  • Adding a new permanent traffic signal at the 94th Avenue East / 144th Street East intersection.
  • Adding an enclosed storm drain system, as well as stormwater treatment facilities.

Project Timeline
February 2014 to September 2017: 
Completed preliminary engineering and right-of-way plans.

Beyond 2017: Right-of-way acquisition, environmental documentation, construction plans, specifications, estimates, and construction. These activities are all dependent on additional funding and are currently on hold.
