An Equal Employment Opportunity Plan (EEOP) is a required workforce report that is provided to the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Office of Civil Rights when an employer receives federal funding. The purpose of the EEOP is to make sure that recipients of financial assistance from the Justice Department are providing equal employment opportunities to men and women regardless of sex, race, or national origin.
Pierce County is committed to having a diverse work environment that celebrates differences and is free of any form of discrimination. The County's EEOP outlines a variety of objectives and steps to assist in meeting our goals for a diverse workforce that reflects the community we serve. The Justice Department approved our EEOP for a two year period.
If you have questions about the County's EEOP, please contact the Pierce County Human Resources EEO/ADA Specialist.
