Community Cleanups

No In-Person Community Cleanups Scheduled in 2021

There will be no in-person events in 2021. The Pierce County Community Cleanups are transitioning to a voucher based system and we anticipate a Fall 2021 rollout. This webpage will be updated with more information.

Accepted Materials
Mattresses and furniture
Clothing and Electronics
No commercial equipment or large printers. 
Please bag or box items and keep separate from your garbage.
No refrigerators, freezers or air conditioners.
Scrap metal
BBQs, bikes, pots and pans, etc.
Any size and quantity. Tires on rims are accepted.
Do NOT bring
Household Hazardous Waste
Always free drop off at Tacoma and Hidden Valley transfer stations.
Computers and Televisions
Always free recycling of computers, monitors, laptops and TVs through E-cycle Washington
Oil paint=Hazardous waste | Latex paint=Recycle OR dry and dispose of in garbage.
Automotive Parts or Accessories
Includes car, motorcycle, camper or boat parts and truck canopies, trailers, boats or RVs.
Garbage from a business
Cleanup is for residential customers only.
Yard Waste
Always free disposal at transfer stations in Pierce County.
