Habitat Assessment Study Review


A study prepared by a private consultant, and reviewed by a Pierce County biologist, that documents a fish or wildlife habitat conservation area, point location or associated buffer exists on the site, and the proposed development activity can comply with standards set forth in Section 18E.40.040 or the buffer requirements as set forth in Section 18E.40.060.

A report prepared by a certified arborist, licensed landscape architect, or professional forester, and reviewed by a Pierce County biologist that documents a hazard tree exists and provides a replanting schedule for replacement trees.

Fish & Wildlife Variance


Use this application when you wish to reduce a buffer or other requirement below what is allowed by Code. Through the public hearing process, the Hearing Examiner determines whether or not to grant the variance based upon specific criteria (see required findings below).

Use this application when you feel that Pierce County Fish and Wildlife regulations remove the reasonable use of your property.
