What’s New

Demolition of the old Puget Sound Hospital facility is quickly moving forward. Dickson Company was selected as the demolition contractor through a competitive bidding process and has already set up temporary construction fencing and is currently mobilizing their equipment to begin work.

In mid-February, due to increased transient activities within the building, Pierce County commissioned two Tacoma Police Department officers to be on-site until demolition begins.

Community Meeting

A community meeting was held Tuesday, March 21 at 6 p.m. at the Tacoma Pierce County Health Department Auditorium. The community and interested parties were invited to attend to learn more about the demolition process and schedule of events.
