Pawn & Secondhand Sale Reporting Requirements

If you are a business owner in unincorporated Pierce County with a license to sell or issue loans (pawn) on secondhand property, you must follow the steps below in order to be in compliance with RCW 19.60:

1 - Read the Sheriff's Department letter to Pawn & Secondhand Shop Owners.

2 - Review the Electronic Batch File Reporting Instructions.  Batch file reporting must be through South Sound 911.

3 - Refer to this properly configured Electronic Batch File Record example.

4 - Refer to the Batch Reporting Pawn-Sale Lookup Codes to meet reporting requirements.
