Information for Parents who are considering or have a Guardian ad Litem

The Court may appoint a Guardian ad Litem (GAL) or Parenting Investigator (PI) to represent the best interest of a child in a domestic relations (Family Court) case. Under the direction of the court, the GAL/PI performs an investigation and prepares a written report.
