The Boundary Review Board is a quasi-judicial, administrative body empowered to make decisions on such issues as incorporations, annexations, extensions of utilities, etc. by cities, towns, and special purpose districts. It can approve, deny, or modify a proposal. Its decisions are appealable to the Pierce County Superior Court.
The proposed Spanaway Incorporation has ended. A petition was not submitted for sufficiency to the Pierce County Auditor by the August 25th, 2020 deadline.
Below are links that outline the process and requirements to initiate annexations as well as factors and objectives that the board must consider when reviewing annexations.
