Volunteer Handbook

Our handbook has been written to provide you with all the information that you will need when volunteering with Pierce County Parks and Recreation, outlining some of the benefits that you will gain from volunteering with us and our expectations of you as a volunteer.

If you are selected as a volunteer, you will receive more detailed information about the project that you will be working on and your role in it.

To volunteer with Pierce County Parks and Recreation, please submit our volunteer application.

We are often asked what time commitments are required from volunteers. How much time you give depends on you: your role, your project and your availability. Regular attendance is important to us so that we can ensure that our volunteer projects operate smoothly and efficiently, but we appreciate that many volunteers require more flexibility than paid staff.
