What’s Happening

Engineering: Pierce County is in the final design phase for the project.

Land: Currently working with adjacent property owners to acquire additional property rights needed to construct the project.

Environmental: Necessary environmental permits have been obtained.

About the Project

Planned improvements to Cramer Road Northwest at its crossing with Glencove (CRP 5871) are intended to improve safety and replace the existing bridge, including the following:

  • Remove the existing bridge.
  • Reconstruct a new bridge and approach roadways.
  • The new bridge will be two lanes with paved shoulders and constructed with pre-tensioned precast concrete girders.
  • Cramer Road Northwest will be closed during construction.

Project Timeline

Fall 2018 to Winter 2021: Surveying, preliminary engineering and right-of-way plans.

Winter 2021 to Spring/Summer 2023: Right-of-way acquisition, environmental documentation, construction plans, specifications and estimates.

Fall 2023 to Summer 2025: Construction
