Schedule

Crosswalk at 176th St E
Tentative improvement schedule

We will need many years to bring all facilities into compliance due to available resources. We made a tentative schedule using overall cost data. Average facilities unit costs were set to help create the schedule:

  • Accessible Pedestrian Signal (APS) = $4,463 each
  • Curb Ramp = $6,070 each
  • Driveway = $4,889 each
  • Sidewalk = $105 per linear foot
With about $1,135,000 available each year for ADA improvement projects, we estimated the amount of work possible each year. We aim to design or construct the following each year:
APS
16–64

Curb Ramps
40–60

Driveways
15–30

Sidewalks (linear feet)

From there, we made this table showing what could be completed in five-year periods:

Year Range Curb Ramps (ea.) APS (ea.) Driveways (ea.) Sidewalks (LF) Anticipated Program Funding
2020–2024 200–300 80–320 75–150 2,500–12,500 $ 5,675,000
2025–2029 200–300 80–261 75–150 2,500–12,500 $ 5,675,000
2030–2034 200–325 0–80 75–150 2,500–12,500 $ 5,675,000
2035–2039 200–325 0–80 75–150 2,500–12,500 $ 5,675,000
2040–2044 200–325 0–80 75–150 2,500–12,500 $ 5,675,000
2045+ 3,000–3,500 0–200 650–1,100 550,000–600,000 $ 67,674,723

The number of facilities improved may vary from year to year due to factors such as project areas, available funding, and leadership priorities.
