Our popular Pierce County ADRC Free monthly film series at the Grand Cinema Tacoma will return in 2024 at 10 AM on Second Saturdays of January, February, and March. The theme of this year’s series will be “Senior Strength In Solitude”, featuring movies that demonstrate the power of one person confronting their most difficult challenges.
Pierce County Aging and Disability Resources hosts a new series of the popular “Oh My Gosh – Now What?” seminar beginning Monday, January 22, 2024. The 6-part series of discussions is designed for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia, families, caregivers, and others focusing on the initial journey of memory loss. Attendees will learn the warning signs and symptoms, managing behaviors, the disease progress, legal concerns, financial issues, and local resources. All sessions will be held live in-person from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Soundview Building, located at 3602 Pacific Avenue, Suite 200, Tacoma, WA 98418. People can attend one or all the discussions. Sessions are free and open to all with no RSVP needed to attend.
