Ending Veteran Homelessness in Pierce County
The 2019 Point-In-Time count identified 134 homeless veterans, 67 of which were unsheltered.
The Ending Veteran Homelessness Exploratory Task Force will aid Pierce County in the evaluation of County programs and policies related to veteran homelessness. It will document and examine key policies that affect the ability to identify and serve homeless veterans, and provide recommendations on these policies; develop and understanding of federal, state and local agencies, and programs that address veteran housing needs and services, and assess the current capacity of developing a system to meet the criteria and benchmarks to ensure that veteran homelessness is prevented.
The Ending Veteran Homeless Task Force will not exceed 9 members. Each of the following entities is requested to designate an individual and an alternate to participate on the Task Force:
