NEW: Pierce County COVID-19 Emergency Small Business Relief Loan Program

For small businesses with 10 or fewer employees located in unincorporated Pierce County.

NEW: City of Tacoma COVID-19 Stabilization Loan Program

SBA Paycheck Protection Program (PPP)

 Puget Sound Energy 

  • PSE will keep utility services on during the COVID-19 outbreak. Customers who have been financially impacted by COVID-19 may receive a waiver of late fees and/or deferred payment plans. Click here for more information.

Peninsula Light Co. 

  • Temporarily suspending customer disconnects and may waive late-fees for at least the next month. 253-857-5950, or email

Tacoma Public Utilities

  • Established an Emergency Assistance Program to help customers during the state of emergency declared by the City of Tacoma in response to COVID-19. The program provides a utility credit of up to $250 for eligible single-family households, usable toward TPU bills.
  • TPU customers who are having trouble paying their bills should contact Customer Service at (253) 502-8600 or (800) 752-6745 and ask about extended payment plans.
