Purchased by Pierce County Parks in 2006, through the Conservation Futures program, Meridian Habitat Park includes approximately 36 acres located in the South Hill area. The property was originally developed as a church and includes the former church building, a caretaker’s home, a pond, and the locally famous "Puyallup Amphitheater".
Parks has developed three phases of improvements to the park that included the great lawn, a nature-themed playground, an off-leash dog park, and an entry plaza. The Phase 4 improvement project is underway and will include expanded and updated parking and lighting,
