About the Project
Seeley Lake Park contains 48 acres of urban forest readily accessible by car or bus. Featuring a 1-mile loop trail, the park provides for quiet nature walks amongst a wetland and oak forest in the heart of Lakewood.
The lake is a wetland with fluctuating water levels throughout the year, and may flood sections of the trail during the winter rainy season. In December 2019, the City of Lakewood and Pierce County Parks entered into an agreement to improve Seeley Lake Park with the goal of "increasing habitat, recreation, and safety".
