What’s Happening
Engineering: We are continuing the engineering for the project. We have completed the field survey of the existing curb ramps and sidewalks throughout the project limits.


Land: Additional right-of-way needs are being assessed.

About the Project
Planned improvements for the ADA Improvement Program - 2022 (CRP 5923) are intended to improve accessibility and will include the following:

Group 1:
159th Street East / 160th Street East

  • Improve accessibility to sidewalks.
  • Removing and reconstructing existing curb ramps and sidewalks within the project area that do not meet ADA requirements.
  • Adding new curb ramps within the project area where needed.

Project Timeline

May 2020 to July 2020Complete field surveys. 


July 2020 to December 2021: Complete engineering and environmental documentation.


January 2022 to March 2022: Complete construction plans, specifications, and estimates.


Summer 2022: Construct improvements.
