Aging and Disability Resources has nutrition programs for older adults. Contact the Aging and Disability Resource Center at 253-798-4600 for the most updated information on nutrition services.

Home-Delivered Meals 

Pierce County residents 60+ years old who meet criteria may receive free home-delivered meals. To be eligible for this program you must:

  • be homebound
  • be unable to prepare meals for yourself
  • be unable to perform one or more activities of daily living
  • lack an information support system

Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program

The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program is for Pierce County residents who are 60+ years old (55+ years old for Native Americans or Alaska Natives) and meet certain income eligibility requirements. This program offers an $80 Electronic Benefit Card to purchase fresh produce at participating Farmers Markets and/or Farm Stores. Applications are accepted annually, between May and September.

Senior Congregate Nutrition

In collaboration with community-based agencies, ADR supports 18 senior meal sites in Pierce County. Adults 60+ years old can attend any meal site and enjoy a nutritious meal free of charge (donations are gladly accepted). Click below to see meal site brochures in the following languages:
