Application Process

The Pierce County Assessor-Treasurer's Office administers this program. Applications are available online or by contacting the Senior Citizen and People with Disabilities Exemption Department hotline at (253) 798-2169 or may be picked up at:

Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.


After approval, the exemption applies until a renewal application is required. This happens at least once every six years. A renewal application packet will be mailed to you in your year of renewal.

Status Change Notices

A status change notice will be mailed to participants during their non-renewal years. You must complete and return the status change notice if your income category or eligibility has changed.
