About the Project
Pierce County has initiated this project to reduce sediment input and loading into the Rody Creek system and receiving Clarks Creek water body, by stabilizing the channel bed from downcutting and stabilizing certain areas of ravine slopes from erosion.
The project will also help to address Clarks Creek TMDL goals and objectives by helping to improve water quality to the receiving Clarks Creek stream system.
Several channel spanning log structures, timber frames and slash will be placed, to reduce the movement of sediment into the receiving downstream channel reach (below 72nd Street East).
