Chase the Rainbow Run 5K Race Results

Chase the Rainbow  Run 5K

It's time to get COLORFUL! Grab your friends and family and join us as we Chase the Rainbow along the Puget Sound in Chambers Creek Regional Park.

Two Race Options:

  • September 16, 2023 - Run/Walk in person at Chambers Creek Regional Park
  • Run virtually anytime, anywhere!

September 16 - Run/Walk in Person

Chambers Creek Regional Park - Central Meadow
8:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Before the race starts, get ready with a group color throw in the Central Meadow. Color, bubble, and water stations as well as colorful balloons and tassel arches will be placed along the course for extra pizazz. Enjoy a pre-race warm-up hosted by Jazzercise, take a photo at the photo booth, play lawn games, and afterward visit the Pink Gorilla Espresso and Food Truck! Participants will receive a keepsake medal when they cross the finish line!  

This fun run/walk is a 5K course, USATF certified, and chip timed. The trails at Chambers Creek Regional Park are fully paved with challenging hills. Results will be made available once you cross the finish line and will be posted on the website the week after the race.     

Registration

  • Registration fee: $30/participant 
  • Pre-Register online by September 11.

  • Day of event registration will be available while supplies last - it is first-come, first-serve beginning at 8:30 a.m.
    • Sign up at the check-in area located in the Central Meadow 

Start Times:

  • 8:30 AM - Check-in and race bib pick up 
  • 8:50 AM - Pre-race Jazzercise warm-up
  • 9:20 AM - Group color throw
  • 9:30 AM - Run starts

Volunteers:

If you're interested in being a part of our event but running isn't your thing, you can still get involved by joining our team of volunteers. There's no need for any special skills, experience, or training - all you need is a positive attitude and a willingness to lend a hand! We welcome everyone who wants to help make our event a success, so come and join us today.

Volunteers are needed to help with set up and take down of the event, work water stations, throw color, cheer on the runners, and help with the check-in table. Click the volunteer button to learn more and to sign up.

Virtual Run Option - FULL

Want to participate in our Chase the Rainbow Run but can only do it virtually? You can! Those registered in the 5K race will receive a Chase the Rainbow 5K keepsake medal and a colored powder packet. Enjoy a run at your own pace and location to breathe in the fresh September air! 

How to Compete:

  • Register for the virtual run by September 4. 
  • Run or Walk indoors or outdoors. You can also complete your challenge in multiple parts or all at once until you reach the 5K goal.
  • After registration, race packets will be mailed via USPS on Friday, September 8.
  • Share your achievement with your friends and tag us on Facebook @piercecountyparks #chasetherainbowrun
