Steele Street South - 116th St S to 109th St S and 102nd St S to 96th St S (CRP 5942)
What’s Happening Engineering: We are completing the engineering for the project. Currently we are gathering information about the existing site conditions and contacting utility companies.
Land: All resurfacing work is expected to fit within the existing right-of-way. Some additional property rights may need to be obtained to construct curb ramps.
Surveying: County surveyors will be in the area gathering field data of the project area.
About the Project Planned improvements to Steele Street South from 116th Street South to 109th Street South and from 102nd Street South to 96th Street South will resurface the roadway pavement and reconstruct curb ramps to current ADA accessibility standards where feasible. Improvements will include the following:
Removing and repaving the top 2-inches of asphalt concrete pavement 116th Street South to 109th Street South and from 102nd Street South to 96th Street South.
Replacing or constructing new curb ramps, as needed, at the Officers Memorial Drive, 112th Street South, and 109th Street South intersections along Steele Street South.
Project Timeline
January 2022 to Spring 2023: Field data collection, design engineering, development of construction plans, specifications, and estimate.
