2019 Classification & Compensation Study

Pierce County engaged in a study to evaluate the pay range competitiveness for one hundred and twelve (112) benchmark positions within Pierce County. The study reviewed the competitiveness of Pierce County’s pay practices, health, and retirement benefit offerings.

To gather this information, Pierce County hired Segal Waters, in consultation with Pierce County’s Human Resources team, and developed a customized survey instrument that was distributed to eleven (11) employers found to be representative of its competitive labor market. Data was acquired from all peers and is reflective of the market as of December 1, 2018.
