About the Project

In 2017 Pierce County purchased the 221-acre Buckley Forest Preserve. There is currently no formalized public entry to the property. A study prepared in 2018 analyzed access from a Central route along 134th and a North route along with 126th. The North access route impacts existing wetlands and could cross Spiketon Ditch. These features in the North access route have been re-assessed to determine the impact of development including permitting requirements and costs.
