This project will review findings from previous studies and prepare updated documentation, permitting analysis, and cost estimates. Work on the project will start in May 2022 and should be completed by August 2022.
About the Project
In 2017 Pierce County purchased the 221-acre Buckley Forest Preserve. There is currently no formalized public entry to the property. A study prepared in 2018 analyzed access from a Central route along 134th and a North route along with 126th. The North access route impacts existing wetlands and could cross Spiketon Ditch. These features in the North access route will be re-assessed to determine the impact of development including permitting requirements and costs.
