Fire Investigations

Pierce County Fire Prevention Bureau works with fire districts throughout Pierce County for fire investigations. Deputy Fire Marshals investigate fires in unincorporated Pierce County and contract cities.

If a Pierce County Deputy Fire Marshal investigates a fire, a written report and photos will accompany this investigation. Please use the link below to request a copy of this report. Reports are distributed about two to three weeks after being completed. Please note, if there is an active investigation on a fire by the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department, the Pierce County Fire Prevention Bureau may not be able to distribute this report. You will have to request it through South Sound 911.

Please allow up to 14 days from the date of the fire before submitting a request. A specific timeframe when you will receive a copy of the report is not guaranteed.
