Green Teams

What is a Green Team?

EnviroEd Green TeamsA Green Team is made up of students that drive action projects at their school with the intent of making positive environmental impacts in response to the unique needs of their community.

Students will…

  • choose a local or global issue of interest and/or personal relevance, design an action plan, and take action.
  • learn leadership skills and work with administration, community organizations, and other stakeholders to drive change.
  • build their portfolios and gain community service volunteer hours.
  • connect with community partners and potential mentors.
  • be exposed to various career pathways in the environmental field.

Using models designed by EarthGen and National Wildlife Federation, Pierce County Environmental Educators can support your group in the following ways:

  • Guidance on how to start your group and define your direction with the goal of creating cultural changes at your school.
