Engineering: We are beginning the preliminary engineering for the project which includes collecting field information and creating right-of-way and construction plans.

Land: Additional right-of-way needs will be assessed.

Environmental: Necessary environmental permits will be obtained.

Surveying: County surveyors will be in the area gathering field data for the project.

Planned improvements to 168th Street East from SR-7 to B Street are intended to increase pedestrian accessibility and sidewalk connectivity, and include the following:

  • Adding cement concrete curb, gutter, and sidewalk
  • Portions of two-way left-turn lane (TWLTL) and bike lanes
  • Constructing curb ramps
  • Installing street parking on north side of roadway
  • Installing illumination
  • Adding pedestrian crosswalk markings and illumination at the east and west ends of the project for crossings on 168th Street East
