Meets the second Tuesday of the month from 7:00am to 8:30am September through June.
The Pierce County Interagency Transition Network is a group of community organizations, school districts, service providers, and advocates, who support effective transitions for students exiting high school special education programs and creating opportunities for full lives.
Participation in the Transition Network meeting provides ample resources/learning opportunities:
Provides opportunities for networking and resource exchange between school districts in Pierce County, sharing different models and information about what is and is not working.
Provides opportunities to discuss current transition trends and share best practices.
Provides information about community resources through presentations, networking, collaborative resource development, or something similar, Resource fairs.
Encourages collaborative interactions between school districts and post school services; including supported employment agencies, Developmental Disabilities Administration, and Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.
