An Executive Proclamation is signed by Executive Dammeier, and is prepared to be read at a community event, retirement or milestone celebration.
To request an Executive proclamation, please complete the proclamation request form. Proclamations are processed as requested and must be re-requested annually.
If you request an Executive Proclamation you may elect to have it mailed to you or pick it up at the Executive's Office in the County-City Building, 930 Tacoma Ave. S., Room 737, in Tacoma. Please submit your request a minimum of three weeks before the event to allow time for preparation and signature.

A Council Proclamation is signed by members of the Pierce County Council, which is read during a televised council meeting and is presented to a representative in attendance.
To request a Council Proclamation, please complete theproclamation request form. If you have questions about the proclamation process, please contact [email protected] or 253-798-7777.
If you are requesting a Council Proclamation a representative will need to be in attendance to accept the proclamation. You will be contacted by Council staff when your proclamation will be read. Please submit your request a minimum of three weeks before your preferred meeting date to allow time for approval on the agenda. Most meetings are held Tuesdays at 3 p.m. in Council Chambers, located in the County-City Building, 930 Tacoma Ave. S., Room 1045 in Tacoma.
