Deep Roots Day Camp, with Sahale Outdoors and Pierce County Parks, offers nature-based camps designed to get preschoolers outdoors and experience the magic of nature in a hands-on fun way.
Campers will learn about the natural world around them at the outdoor nature classroom of Meridian Habitat Park.
Camps run for half-days, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and will include fun nature and science-based activities, child-led trail exploration, take-home projects, games, and more. All camp supplies and light snacks will be provided.
For: Preschoolers (ages 4-6)
Campers must be potty trained and be able to be away from their caregiver for 4 hours

What is needed for camp?
Campers should bring:
backpack
jacket
clothes for the weather (rain boots, hats, etc.)
sun protection (sunscreen, glasses, hats, etc.)
change of clothes and extra socks
water bottle
snacks (snacks provided will try to accommodate food allergies, we encourage you to pack and bring snacks if concerned about allergies.)
