Pierce Summer LIFE (Leadership Instruction & Field Experience) is a 10-week program that builds social connections and life skills in a positive and healthy outdoor recreation environment. 

Pierce County Parks is providing local youth, ages 13-17, a series of experiential learning activities designed to develop leadership, social skills, and healthy personal, environmental, and community interests. Participants will be introduced to activity providers to help continue the pursuit of outdoor recreation beyond the program. 

  • All activities including field trips will begin and end at Sprinker Recreation Center. 
  • Pre-registration is required for all activities and field trips.
  • Helmets, gear, and/or equipment are provided. 
  • Fee: 
    • Field trips are $10/person per field trip 
    • On-site activities are Free
    • Scholarships Available

Scholarships

Scholarships for Pierce Summer Life activities are based on income and family size and are available to Pierce County residents that qualify.  Applicants are encouraged to begin the online application process a week in advance of the trip desired by selecting the scholarship application button below:
