Youth Cross Country

Come join Pierce County Parks this fall for a 5-week series of outdoor cross country running led by experienced coach and former UW All-American, Anita Campbell*.  Our program will incorporate age-appropriate running workouts and games to help improve fitness, have fun, and prepare runners for a series of three Wednesday evening cross-country races to put their hard work to the test. 

Our cross-country program is open to runners ages 5-13 of all ability levels and is a great opportunity to learn more about the sport while enjoying one of the best running locations in Washington. Please send your runner with a pair of running shoes, athletic clothing, a water bottle, and a towel for ground exercises.

*Coach Anita Campbell is a former University of Washington XC coach and 2 x All-American, Husky Hall of Famer, and 2008 NCAA XC Team Champion member. Coach Anita has coached NCAA DI All-Americans, PAC-12 Champions, USA Championship qualifiers, and athletes who have gone on to be Olympians. Coach Anita is passionate about helping young athletes learn more about the sport of XC running and become stronger, faster, and more confident in their abilities. She loves to help kids improve and grow as athletes and can't wait to work with you!
