Fire Permit Applications

NEW! Now offering accelerated processing of certain permit types.

The following permit types can be applied for using the Fast Track Permit Application: 

  • 13D Fire Sprinkler System
  • Fire Sprinkler Minor Modifications (addition and or relocation of 20 heads or less)
  • Fire Alarm Minor Modifications (addition and or relocation of 10 or less devices or a communicator swap)
  • LPG Tank (**LPG Tanks less than 125 gallons DO NOT require a permit)
  • Type I Hood Suppression System
  • Generator with Fuel Tank
  • Decommissioning of Residential Heating Oil Tanks

Once the required submittal documents have been received there will be a cursory review to ensure the documents are in place and meet code guidelines. Once that is completed a permit will be “conditionally approved based on the submitted documents”.

To check on the status of your permit, use the Online Permit Search. Click yes to agree to the terms of use, and enter the permit # into Application/Permit # field. Click on the green Department Status tab to view the status of your permit. For any additional questions on the status of your permit, please call (253) 798-7179 and select option 1.
