Original post (11:10 a.m. March 2):
Orville Road East remains closed from Kapowsin Highway to Highway 161 due to multiple mudslides. For local residents, Orville Road East is open until 312th Street East. Three of the mudslides are blocking the road, and have damaged utility lines. Several of these mudslides require assessments by our engineers before they can be cleaned up.

Once utility repairs are complete, we hope to remove the debris and open part of the road for local access only. We will post updates as they are available.

Mudslides remain a risk countywide. If you come across a mudslide, turn around and take a different route. Report mudslides and other roadway issues to www.piercecountywa.gov/works or (253) 798-6000.
