A look back at the U.S. Open...
After a busy week of spectators, golfers and media occupying Pierce County, the 2015
U.S. Open at Chambers Bay has finally come to an end. The U.S. Open was the largest
event ever hosted by the county, and I couldn’t be more proud. From scenery to food
and the distinctive architecture of the links style course, the beautiful Pacific Northwest
created a unique experience for players and spectators that will keep them coming back
for years to come.

Volunteer for open boards and commissions in the 5th District
Have you been looking for a way to give back to your community? We've got ample opportunities in the 5th Council District! Serving on one of our many boards and commissions is an excellent way to stay involved in county government as well as find personal satisfaction knowing that you’re helping to make a difference in your community. I’m confident that we’ll see these openings fill up sooner rather than later, so if you are interested you should get your application in now.
