Request: The applicants are proposing to demolish the existing 1,404-sq. ft. residence located 37.5 ft. from the bulkhead, and the existing garage with 2nd story storage/living space located 47 ft., 8 in. from the bulkhead in order to:
- Construct a new larger single-family residence,
at its closest point, 37.5 ft. from the existing bulkhead.
- Construct a 784-sq. ft. 2-car garage with a second story guest suite/recreation room, for a total of 1,562 sq. ft., to be located the same distance of 47 ft. 8 in. from the ordinary high water mark.
- Reduce the required 25-ft. front yard setback to 3 ft. along the west property line.
The project site is on two parcels, for a total of 1.56 acres, on the southeast shore of Henderson Bay, in a Rural 10 (R10) zone classification, Residential Shoreline Environment, and Gig Harbor Peninsula Community Plan area, located at 7336 Plant Dr. NW, Gig Harbor, WA, in Council District #7.
