[ARCHIVED] Partial walking trail closure on Chambers Creek Road

A portion of the E Slope Walking Trail, near the north entrance to the Chambers Creek Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant, will temporarily close to the public.

The closure will last from 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9 through 12:30 a.m. on Friday, July 12. This portion of the trail parallels Chambers Creek Road W.

The planned closure allows for site exploration in support of the Pierce County treatment plant expansion project. Walkers will notice wooden barricades placed at each end of the closed portion of the trail. The barricades will have “Trail Closed” signs attached and include the dates of the planned closure.

This effort is part of the ongoing Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion. More information about this project can be found at www.piercecountywa.org/sewerexpansion.
