Passing of Robin McKinney

Robin McKinney, facilities services coordinator for Facilities Management, passed away on April 27, at age 54 after her long battle with cancer.

Robin is a Lincoln High School graduate. Robin graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy and served 12 years in the Navy. She was an avid writer, and loved listening to and playing a variety of musical instruments which she collected from around the world.

Robin joined the Facilities team in January 2009 and had the opportunity to work with staff throughout most departments managing County janitorial contracts. In talking to her just a couple weeks ago, she expressed her appreciation for the outpouring of support she received during her illness from her fellow County employees.

Robin is survived by three brothers, one sister and a large number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 7 at 1 p.m. More information is available here. Please contact Sylvia Schnug at (253) 798-7229 or Liz Becker at [email protected] for additional information.
